Mohammed Mallawi

Vice President, Government Affairs and Security

Mohammed joined KAUST in late 2022 as Director of Governance. He became a member of the Board Secretariat team and its committees, helping complete several strategic projects approved by the Board of Trustees.

In 2023, Mohammed was appointed Deputy Vice President for Government Affairs and Security, contributing to the department’s restructuring and the implementation of KAUST’s Accelerating Impact strategic objectives and priorities. In early 2025, he became the VP for the department, enhancing strategic partnerships and expanding collaboration with entities within Saudi Arabia and internationally.

Mohammed holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also holds numerous executive and specialized certificates from several renowned institutions, including the Capital Market Authority, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the Financial Academy, HSBC, Harvard, the University of Michigan, Kingston Business Academy, and the GCC Board Directors Institute.
