The Saudi Center for Vaccines and Protein Therapies, led by KAUST, is a pioneering initiative to establish the Kingdom’s first Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) biologics-manufacturing facility for human health. This national facility will play a critical role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s biomanufacturing capabilities, supporting the development and production of vaccines, biologics and advanced therapies.
- A biomanufacturing training program to build local expertise.
- State-of-the-art laboratories dedicated to vaccine and biologics development.
- Manufacturing suites designed for clinical trial batches with scale-up capabilities.
Aligned with Vision 2030, this initiative strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position in the global life sciences sector by fostering collaboration between academia, industry and strategic partners. Further developments will be announced as the project progresses.
