KAUST welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, and his U.S. counterpart, Mr. Chris Wright, along with their accompanying delegation, as part of an official visit to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on KAUST’s research, development, and innovation efforts, as well as the University’s role in supporting the knowledge economy and addressing global challenges through advanced scientific solutions.
The guests explored KAUST’s innovative research and technologies in various fields, emphasizing the university’s role in shaping the future of energy in the Kingdom and supporting global objectives.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman praised KAUST for its outstanding contributions to the global scientific landscape, affirming that the university is a pioneering model in reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in scientific research, localizing knowledge, and accelerating innovation in the energy and renewable energy sectors.
