Tawuniya Insurance and KAUST sign agreement to strengthen collaboration

  • Training, internship, and employment support for Saudi youth are a key focus of the agreement  
  • The aim is also to enhance cooperation in scientific research and technical consulting between the two entities   

Riyadh-based Tawuniya Insurance Company and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in scientific research, technical consulting, training programs, student internships, and employment support.   

Representing Tawuniya Insurance at the signing was Eng. Abdullah Al-Sharqi, Chief Technology and Digital Transformation Officer, and Professor Bernard Ghanem, Chair of the Center of Excellence for Generative AI, represented KAUST.  

Commenting on the occasion, Eng. Abdullah Al-Sharqi stated:
“We are excited about this partnership, which will enhance our innovation capabilities and develop skills needed to tackle future challenges. This step reflects our commitment to higher education and youth development. We are proud to collaborate with KAUST to achieve our shared goals and promote innovation across various fields.”  

“This partnership represents a true example of integration between the academic and private sectors,” Professor Bernard Ghanem commented. “It opens new avenues for our students to benefit from hands-on experiences and high-quality training, enhancing their readiness for the labor market and contributing to the national transformation journey.”  

This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which empowers national talent and fosters innovation.
