Overview

The Ministry of Transportation & Logistics Services (MoTLS) has partnered with KAUST to design and build the multimodal (land, air and sea) “Future Mobility Sandbox.” This sandbox allows for the testing of conventional and nonconventional applications, such as connected and autonomous vehicles, and provides a platform to conduct testing under replicable real-life conditions for multiple customer groups and vehicle types that support the transport and logistics sector. The sandbox aims to be the first multimodal testing facility for future mobility in the MENA region and sets the foundations to enable and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.
