الاهتمامات البحثية

البروفيسور توني تشان هو الرئيس الثالث لجامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية (كاوست). انضم إلى الجامعة كرئيس في الأول من سبتمبر عام ٢٠١٨، بعد ما يقرب من عقد من الزمان كرئيس لجامعة هونغ كونغ للعلوم والتكنولوجيا (HKUST). مجال البروفيسور تشان المهني هو الرياضيات الحاسوبية، ولديه اهتمامات بتقنية معالجة الصور ورؤية الحاسب الآلي، وتصميم الدوائر الفيزيائية، ورسم خرائط الدماغ الحاسوبية. ويعتبر البروفيسور تشان من أكثر علماء الرياضيات استشهدًا بأبحاثه في العالم، حيث قام بنشر أكثر من ٢٠٠ ورقة بحثية.
